Yo.

It is remarkably difficult to find a shower curtain that is in keeping with the moonbase theme. I would LOVE to have a clear shower curtain with bright huge glow in the dark aliens, but that's too much to ask, I suppose.

Anyone know of any convenient arts and crafts stores other than mendels on Haight?

I should clean up and be useful within what actually exists here, even if I can't get us a shiny new curtain. Ug.

Oh, and we got a big new TV. w00t! $20. I love garage sales.

Stars or metallic glittery things, at least, are available at BedBathBeyond, although they can run a bit pricey. At HRA we had a silver glitter clear outside curtain, and the inside was a cheap ($5) black, red, or whatever-colored liner, which made the glitter stand out. Here at Silmemar we have silver glitter stars on clear.

What would also be super-cool is an Earthrise shower curtain, but that probably IS asking too much.

Pearl Arts is on somewhere like 6th and Market, closer to the moonbase, and has decent prices, but their selection can be a wee bit erratic.

Hum. If you don't mind a trip to Berkeley, there are some intriguing craft stores out there...

And I'm getting a new TV soon too -- I think it's about 36" or 40" or something like that. Whee! [livejournal.com profile] nytemuse's parents, though irritatingly conservative, do manage to rawk, on occasion.

You could also try Cliff's variety on Castro street. They have some really cool and funky stuff.

Speaking of tv-ness, what ever happened to mine? Is it dead?
