Living in poverty

As I would estimate my effective income as a student at 16,700 plus whatever I manage to make over the course of the summer, I do believe that I qualify as being below the poverty line. Go me.
Also, cooperatives. I hope you all understand that a non-profit cooperative is not subsidized (although it's original construction may have been government funded), and that part of why it is able to function for less than other buildings is that the members pitch in to get the work done. Thus, members must be screened. The system wouldn't work without member screening.
