Update

The bad:
-My Spryte and Wolfie have been down and I've been struggling with not letting that get me down -- an important life skill, but still rough
-With renewed attempts at being productive rather than loafing around, I've been getting a little stressed again. Nowhere near how I was feeling back before SB, but still not good.
-Dieting and exercising is hard.

The good:
-Sherbourne is doing an Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course starting Friday, and it is free, and I'm signed up! This will be Good for me. I'm excited! This course also involves a sort of meditation 101 thing, aimed at people who are anxious like me. And because it is at Sherbourne, it'll be with lots of other queer people, which is kinda neat.
-I just sent off my pitch to Macleans. It's the first time I've pitched them, and since I don't know anyone there, it is what is known as a "cold" pitch. Nonetheless, I have high hopes for it. I think it's a solid article.
-I have exciting fun plans for the next week or so. Tonight I have a date with the Spryte during which I will be surprising her pleasantly. Tomorrow night Yaksman and I will be going to The Sultans Tent for Moroccan food and belly dancing performances. Friday I start the MBSR, then I spend some time with the parents, and then I'm off to BayCon for 1.5 days of gaming goodness! Saturday night is BENT, and it will be Good. Sunday I have NO PLANS! Yay! Monday Spryte, Yaksman and I are going to see Evil Dead. Tuesday, my parents and I are going to see Cirque Niagara. Wednesday we get our second Food Box, and Thursday I have a date with the Wolfie, followed by my second MBSR. And that weekend, I have no solid plans for Friday OR Saturday (yay free time!) and Sunday we have gaming again. Yay!
-Dieting and exercising is paying off. Very slowly, but paying off. I think. Now I just need to keep it up...
-Only 11 more days of weaning off the Effexor!
-I'm looking at doing a few more stories for XTRA. If I go through with it, it will extend my EI benefit by one week because the week I do the stories won't get counted as part of the SB.
-I checked and, in spite of the fact that I'm going back to school in September, if my doctor says I'm healthy enough to go back to work when my SB ends, I will be eligible for EI until I go back to school. I just have to look for work.

OK, enough of that. I have to take a shower and clean some dishes and decide if I want to go for these XTRA stories -- it would be a lot of work in a short time, but hey, why not?
