I just spoke to the head of the Graduate Journalism Program at Ryerson. He said that the applications are still with the Faculty of Graduate Studies, and suggested I write a letter to forward to them outlining the difference in grading, and (without disclosing any private information) my personal issues that impacted my grades. If they say that they can't accept it, I should mention that he said he felt the information was relevant. Right. I can do that.
I'm struggling at work, of course. Roily stomach all day, the kind you get when you are super anxious/stressed. Difficulty focusing, feelings of... not quite despair, but similar.
If every day is like this, I may not make it to March 1. But I can try.
The other difficulty is that to get the fellowship for AAAS (worth $1250 USD in travel expenses while in SF/to SF), I need to pitch some math stories to newspapers and magazines. My mind is blank. I SO don't have the constitution for this right now.
