Short version
How much per hour would a coder who knows XML and Javascript cost, approximately (please state the currency in which you are quoting)? I will not take this number as your rate, but more as the going rate on the market.

And, anyone interested in a project? Email me or give me your email addy ASAP if you're interested. Some degree of preference will probably be given to Canadians/Ontarians/Torontonians.

Long version
So my workplace is talking about submitting a proposal to a large corporation to create some e-learning content. Problem is that the corporation wants us to use a new standard created by the US government called SCORM.

Like HTML, Web 3.0, etc., SCORM is a tagging system designed to provide specifications and tags so that any Learning Management System (equivalent to a browser)(LMS) can present any content (equivalent to a webpage).

I believe that SCORM is an adaptation of XML, although I know it uses some Javascript to pass information back and forth between the LMS and the content.

The corporation already has an LMS (provided by IntraLearn). They want properly tagged content. We can conceive and write the content, but the actual tagging and coding is beyond our capability in-house, at the moment.

The proposal is due tomorrow, so we need to come up with some estimate of project cost if we outsource the coding. The actual project they want done by Feb/March 2007. If you're interested, email me or give me your email address.
