Fucking doctors

Well, my GP in Hamilton renewed my scrip for another 30 days... but also sent a note to my pharmacy saying that they no longer renew meds by fax, and next time I will have to come in.

Fucking eh.

I live in TORONTO now, and I have no car. It's a bitch and a half to get to Hamilton during their extremely limited business hours. And this medication has extremely severe withdrawal symptoms.

This is fucking criminally negligent, if you ask me.

Anyway...

The last day for which I have meds is June 29. I will have been home from Newfoundland for three days. Between now and June 29 I either need to get my ass to Hamilton to renew the scrip, or find my way to a walk-in clinic willing to become my pseudo GP until Sherbourne comes through.

Sherbourne Health Centre has me on their waitlist for GP. The waitlist is 6 months to a year, and it is currently frozen because they are short one doctor, and have been unable to find a replacement. They DO have a psychiatrist they use, but only their GP patients get to see hir.

Ugh.

I'm not upset. Just really annoyed/slightly angry. At least she renewed it by fax two whole times. That's SOMETHING.

Crazy as this may sound, seeing this in conjunction with someone in the journalist community's icon of She-Ra got me on a She-Ra kick.

I want an icon with a photoshopped She-Ra with hair my colour, that says, "Da-Nae, Princess of Power." Or possibly, if there is an evil or kinky She-Ra out there, that would work too.

I also want to find out if there actually WAS an episode of She-Ra where she got hypnotized into being evil, or if I made that up. Maybe I got the concept from the boogedy man movies. Heh.

If I had time, I would go look at www.he-man.org and go through the episodes searching for "hyp", but now is not the time. Maybe later.

I love my bondage fairy icon, but it might be time to find a different default icon... something more powerful and confident.
