Housing update

Never mind! That bitch at the Rethreads place, after all that song and dance about accepting applications from everyone and then considering them all, rented it to the first men she showed it to. I hope she gets what she deserves, and they are partiers and slobs. Grrr.

Now we just have to decide what to do next other than apply for Palmerston. Ie., do we want to apply for Howland as well? It seemed awfully small... Or, we could punt and look at more places.

So, I need personal references for housing applications. pyat, may I still use you as a professional reference?

(1) Do you think its better to give them a reference from SF or Boston who has known me longer, or a reference from Ontario who is therefore local?
(2) Who is willing to be my reference? sassy_fae, I admit you came to mind since we can say, "oh, I was her bridesmaid, blah blah blah," AND you're relatively local.

So, after all that sexist discriminatory shit about wanting to rent to a man who could help maintain the place, and saying how she'd have an open house Friday and rent to the best tenant she could find, Susan Openheim has decided to rent the place to the first men she showed it to.

I guess that's her right, but she could have been honest with me! *angry*

Anyway, I get off work at 3 p.m.... question is, do I then head downtown and look at more places?

Edit Anything interesting going on in the city tonight, or anyone want to hang out? If I had social foo to attend or people to see, it would give me double reasons to go wander around the annex and call rental numbers, but if not, I'll just go home.
