... or so my father tells me.
My hands feel icky and dry, my back is aching, my brother is god knows how many hours late getting here for the day I reserved for time with him, and I'm not unhappy. Why?
Today I (in chronological order):
-weighed in as having lost weight in spite of my indiscretions over the past few days (and, my weight tracking software says I'm definitely losing weight, with about two week's worth of data)
-did some administrative errands like prepping a letter to be mailed and sending necessary emails
-Cleaned the bathroom
-Totally re-organized my clothing storage in a way that I hope is sustainable (hey,
you try storing your clothing when you don't have a dresser, nor room to get one!)
-Totally re-organized all of my paperwork, this time with FOLDERS which I put in my MEGA FILING CABINET. Huzzah!
I'm not done yet, either. I'm going to finish cleaning my room (there are, after all, things in my room which fall into categories other than paperwork and clothing, such as yarn and books and arts and crafts supplies!), and then do some more sedentary to-do activities.
Yesterday
thespian invited me to St. Lawrence Market for some leisurely shopping and socializing. It was awesome! I got a pretty necklace, and a pretty set of blown glass earrings, and some mustard. The artist who makes the blown glass stuff has a son who is also doing it. Their stuff is gorgeous, and so is the son. We chatted. I didn't give him my number or anything though. He seemed nice, but he was probably just being friendly because he gets BORED down there, and because I was a customer.
The stall I bought the mustard from was AWESOME. They were frying up backbacon with peameal (Canadian Bacon for you weirdo US folk) and had little bowls of all of their mustard flavours out to sample with it, or with pretzels. I bought a balsamic figs and dates mustard that rocked my world. And they have nutrition details on their bottles! *swoon* Crunchy crunchy mustardy goodness! You can check out their website here:

My brother should be here in another fifteen or so minutes, and we'll have dinner. Then he has to go back to Toronto for another load. I suppose I should go along to help but... I'm annoyed, as my mother is, that he didn't call to get picked up for the first load until 4:45, and then didn't realize there were two loads worth until my mother got there. This, when we'd been given to believe that he would be here all day today sorting through the things he's got stored in the basement.
Actually, now that I think about it, I may not be able to go along -- they may need all of the space for his stuff.
The move to Toronto is looking inevitable, more and more. There's no way I'm able or willing to pay $400/month in insurance on a car, AND buy a car, and pay rent to live here. Now the question is, when. After the hectic time I've had lately, I don't think I'm quite ready yet to start looking seriously, but if you see a household looking for someone, let me know. And hey, maybe if I ever decide to move back to Hamilton, the city will finally have a car share running by then.
