OK, OK, so I know I'm usually virulently against quiz memes, but I really love Les Miserables.

I'm Eponine!
Spunky, resourceful, and fearless, I don't take a lot of guff from the world, and sometimes I'm kind of freaky. Secretly, though, I just want to be loved in spite of my attitude and my goofy hat.

Which Les Miserables Character Are You?

Incidentally, Eponine was always my favourite character, and I did not make any effort to get her as my answer.

In other news, I was positively manic yesterday. I've been assigned huge boring mind-numbing task of doom at work. I also got my first paycheck (money!). I stayed up until 3:30 am reading... something. Um. Yes, I'm a dufus.

Today I'm surprisingly awake given how little sleep I got. Which is a good thing. I have a writing contract due tomorrow: three chapters to read and review, and I've only read the first one. Tonight may be another late night... At least the company in question is on the West coast. Love it when time zones work in my favour!

I'm all achey today from the workout I got yesterday morning. Mmm, achey muscles! Hopefully I'll make it to the gym again this weekend. Gym-y goodness! Also, I could lose some weight any day now. Really, body. Any day now... What's that? I have to stop eating so much chocolate first? pshaw.

Well, researching this one certainly has been confusing. Here's what I found.

In the beginning, there was Indigo Books, Smithbooks and Coles.

Pathfinder Capital and Canadian General Capital bought Smithbooks and Coles, forming Chapters Inc.

Feb 2001, Trilogy Retail Enterprises bought Chapters Inc.

Aug 2001, Chapters and Indigo merged and incorporated as Indigo Books and Music Inc.

I've been unable to find any further information on Trilogy; Pathfinder Capital was a two person company which I assume is now defunct, and the same might be true of Canadian General Capital.

You can read about their management here... Virtually all of the executive officers are Canadian, including the woman and husband team who originally founded Indigo back when it was a one store company based in Burlington Ontario.

You can also read company profiles below; according to them, the company is listed on the TSE (is this usually an indication of being Canadian?), has its main office in Toronto, and was incorporated in Ontario in 1995., star

It is possible I'm missing something, but it looks pretty clear to me that Indigo is Canadian from head to toe. If you have a solid piece of research contradicting that conclusion, please refer me to your source, because I'd be interested to read it.

And guys, not to be snippy, but... I love you all, even those who erroneously corrected me. But when I post the results of research I've done and state that I just researched this (dunno if I stated that in this case, but I will in the future), please don't argue unless you have a reliable source, where yo mama is not one.

In other news, I'm very hungry. I think I'll eat the world now, starting with your base. Make your time.
