fur, felt, and working with leather

I finally got the collar I've been drooling over for more than a year.

I'd like to line it with some kind of fur, leather, or felt using glue to protect my skin both from the tough leather and the metal rivets used to create it.

Anyone know what kind of glue can be used on belt leather?
Anyone know where a person can get ahold of relatively small fur skins, or soft leather or suede or somesuch?
Any suggestions for what to line it with? (I'd have to meet the fur swatch in person first to determine if I'm allergic)

Decorating obsessions

Thanks to the generousness of a friend on my birthday, I have an Amazon certificate to spend, and I'm of a mind to spend it on a lamp for my bedroom, to put on my nightstand. Right now I have a low, fake wood nightstand but I hope to eventually replace it with a thinner, taller one made of nice high quality wood.

The first lamp can be seen here. It is only $14, so it wouldn't use up all of my certificate, and it is a three way touch lamp.

The second lamp can be seen here, but I'm concerned that since it is 26" tall, it might be too big for a nightstand. Also, the top with the green bead is ugly, but I was hoping it would be removable. It costs $30, which is a little more than my certificate.
