All-in-one
Sep. 12th, 2003 12:02 pmI expect to be Sin-ning tonight, barring serendipity. And damn proud of it too!
arcticelf will be arriving in only a week. We're looking for anyone who is interested in going rock climbing with him during the week (while I'm at work) and/or on other weekday day trips. He's really nice, really, and he doesn't bite... hard.
Depression?
There is a fabulous article in the July 18th issue of Science, in the "News of the Week" section called "Getting the Short End of the Allele." I don't have a copy of it online, alas, but I did photocopy it. It's fascinating; it discusses one of the genetic causes for stress-induced depression, and also genetic factors that affect how likely a person is to be depressive if they were in an abusive childhood environment. If you're depressive, or interested in psychology, I highly recommend you hit me up to borrow my photocopy, or go to your local library to read this article.
City College folk?
How lenient are professors about travelling during term? If someone wanted to disappear for three weeks-ish, one week of which is spring break, would that be doable with most or any teachers? Trying to determine how do-able it would be for
unseelie to join me on that cruise. Speaking of which, there are still spots available on it... total expenditure from the West coast is about $2000 for 3 weeks on cruise/in Europe; probably cheaper from the East coast. That includes most of your food (except when you're off the ship for touristyness).
And now for something completely different...
Artichoke.
