insomnia two nights in a row. no brains. at internship anyway.

mice in the house. hole in my room. two mouse sightings in the kitchen, two in my room. eepy icky could be crawling over me noot notnotok.

dragon_spirit and quincy want to kill the micies humanely. I couldn't care less. I just want them gone. I kill bugs. I kill mice. They would do the same to me if they were big enough to. They are a health hazard and icky and eepy and should go away.

sent an email about freelancing for a nifty site, techsoup.org. Frith Gowan. I could only find ONE instance of Frith as a first name online, and it was a man. So I said Mr. Gowan. guess what?

so embarrassed. Shouldn't care. but still embarrassed. eepeepeepeep.

have to work, hard to focus. nauseous from lack of sleep. hot flashes. tripped and fell on my way to work. bruised right knee and elbow, twisted my left knee.
scraped the back of my left leg pretty hard on my way off the train this morning.

hot. hot. feel really horrible. want to go home, damn it.

We had mice at HRA, in the same 'hood.

Humane methods failed to trap enough mice before more mice bred. Semi-humane methods (glue traps) didn't work well and were just gross. (Cardboard box-tube full of glue. Mouse supposedly gets stuck to glue and sits there going 'eep' until you somehow attempt to remove mouse. Not humane in my book.) We quickly determined that we sucked at catching mice, although we managed to squash a few. Not until we allowed the landlord to put poison down in the garage did we get rid of them, and getting a cat that actually chased/caught mice helped a lot too.

Steel wool is recommended for stuffing into holes that mice get through; they can't chew through it, unlike everything else. Check for teeth marks on furniture legs. Make darn sure you store ALL food in mouseproof containers.
