The job search continues
Jan. 24th, 2003 12:43 pmThings are going better than I had realized.
This week I have applied to 18 positions so far, and the week isn't quite over.
I took two whole days off from the job search (Monday and Thursday).
10 of those jobs were in the writing, marketing, or pr field.
Several of them were AIMED at entry-level folk like me.
Several of them were technology, science, or medicine oriented.
w00t.
One of the key differences is the realization that PR and Marketing firms want people like me. There are PR firms that do stuff like what I was doing at SLAC for a wide variety of companies.
One of the jobs I applied for was at a PR firm that specializes in technologically oriented companies! And it was entry level! There was also a neato publisher's assistant job at a software and other techie publishing company called Apress that I'm psyched about. Technology writing jobs that are entry level! d00d!
I must go search the marketing categories EVERYWHERE!
Wish me luck. :)
