So, only one person has rsvp'd for the Yule vigil. I'm kind of disappointed. Are all the enthusiastic pagan-y folk in the area going to be away or something?

I can't possibly stay up that late, sweet. Wish I could. We may try to make it, but can't make any promises.

Neh. I didn't expect you to show up, dear. I know how you are with sleep, and I understand, because my sleep needs are not up to normal geek standards either--ie. I get pretty useless on less than 8 hours.

I will be at your place until midnightish, and I'm very much looking forward to it. I'm also hoping, if you don't mind, to recruit people from your ranks to at least come hang out for a while before they disappear homeward.

Yeah, hauling people over there once we shut down is fine. Indeed, whoever's still around when we need to stop, I'm planning on pointing them over to your place, anyway.

I've got plans with my coven for Yule already. Don't feel bad, though. This is a really terrible scheduling season for everyone. People have a lot more obligations on their time and attention than they do the rest of the year.

If I wasn't already innundated with other plans, I would love to go. Maybe if you have another thing at Beltane?

Oh, I understand that you are celebrating with your coven. Most people are probably either with their coven, not into the staying up all night thing, or out of town.

It's not that I want to host an event. It's that this is how I'm going to celebrate Yule. It can be a neat enjoyable thingy with company to help me through, or it can be something I do all alone, something that endangers me to depression and is really boring and difficult. The more company I have, the better. But I'm doing this regardless.

And I already have plans for Beltaine which are in development, but are not my thing.

I hope you have fun!

err, "not my thing"--> "not MY event"
The plans are very much 'my thing' ;)

I'd go except that my car currently isn't up for any more mileage than absolutely necessary, and I was already booked with other plans besides.

And even if it's only one person, so what? Have a fun time regardless!

Oh, I will try my best to have fun. I just... would really have liked to have a large group of people joining me. The person who will be with me is the kind of person I can talk to for days on end. So we will almost certainly have fun and interesting times.

:)

I was just surfing random journals, and I have to say that I really appreciated yours - you express things well. Thanks for the read!
