OK, so. Curve vs. 8800 vs. Pearl. What are your thoughts?

I've decided that if I want to get a Treo again, I'll be going with the Centro if I can make it affordable. But I'm exploring my other options.

Ah, but Curve vs. 8800 or 8820... there is the question.

[livejournal.com profile] coraon has nailed the essential point: if you need a wifi-enabled phone, and/or GPS, 8820 is what you want. If you don't, Curve is probably the right choice. There's not much reason to choose an 8800 over an 8820 unless there's a huge price difference.

I LOVE my 8320 (curve). 8800series is a bit heavier, and lacks a camera. All 3 are great phones, but the curve's my favorite. The WiFi in teh 8320 is lovely. and despite nto having true gps, google maps gives approximate location.

The problem with the 8320 is that under the newest software version the media (mp3's) crash the device when you use VBR (variable bit rate) mp3's (which is like all of them). the 8820 for some reason does not have this problem. also the 8320's camera is sub-par in my opinion, the only one with a good camera is the 8120 and even then...
