Before you judge people's choices and actions, say "WTF", or claim that someone's choices are based on emotional angst, try getting all the facts.

That is all,

*sigh*
Yeah, that's what I thought would happen.

I think too often that people read what they want to read into the written word.

They see what they want to see, even if it isn't there. I don't know what situation you are referring to, but I know my own recent experience was because I thought and assumed and then reacted.

If I had thought, I would have thought, assumed, and then kept my big trap shut. But too often, the emotional one is the more satisfying.

I know that doesn't help and my rational brain agrees with you. I just need to let my rational brain drive more often. :-)

And then when you turn out to have been justified in your WTF reaction, you can have even more fun with it - you'll know all the facts to laugh at!

*ahem* was that my outside voice?

All the facts are unknowable, there's usually something that we just can't get access to. That's academic, though, as a good deal of info is often available. However, trying to get all the facts before making a decision is counter to human nature and, proabably, evolution. Trying to get all the facts about whether something wants to eat you is usually not a good idea. Running at the first idication that it might want to eat you is usually better. On a higher level, time constraints can make getting more data impossible. As a journalist, you know that deadlines mean you sometimes need to act before having everything you would like. No, I'd say what you've got is more likely a case of people sticking their noses in where they don't belong and spreading gossip and conjecture. That's not nearly as excusable as being ignorant. It's malicious.

Might as well make that "dear world". Plenty of that crap happens out there too. Deep breath. No killing.
