Recommended Media

OK, I'm coming up on finishing all of the English-spoken media I was working on watching.
So I've seen:
-Smallville up until the seventh season and I'll be done with that soon too
-Eureka through season two
-Torchwood
-Doctor Who
-Blood Ties into season 2/the second half of season 1 depending on how you're counting it
-Heroes up until the current season, and I'll be done with that soon too

What else do you guys recommend?
I've been thinking of catching up on Stargate and possibly SG Atlantis, but it seems to me that they went downhill after Richard Dean Anderson left the show -- did that dynamic improve at all over the last few seasons? I've seen bits and pieces of Atlantis, and while I was entertained, I wasn't impressed.

I've seen bits and pieces of 4400 and it was okay, I might look into that. I also recall that Angel got pretty good in some of the later seasons, so I could go for that.

What else? Um, I watched a little of Jericho at one point and that seemed okay. And there's that new show Kyle XY which could be good... any thoughts on that one?

Of course, once the term is over I'll have a month to read fiction, and/or travel.

You're right about SG-1 and Atlantis. Atlantis is much better this season, I think. SG-1 got a bit too self-consciously campy, but it was very entertaining.

The New Battlestar Galactica is very intense, and very good IMHO. I'm not sure about where they are going from here, but so far, it's been a hell of a ride.

Supernatural is pretty good. It varies grimness with witty banter in an almost early-SG-1 kind of way.

I'd suggest Lost, as it's still fun (at least for me).

Regarding Blood Ties, there is an ongoing 'pimp it to the networks' effort going on where people write City & Space thanking them for carrying the show. It appears to be near enough the edge to need it.
