PSA: breakup

Today I broke up with rbowspryte. She did not take it well, I fear.

Regardless of what she says about me, please think kindly of her. I still care about her, I just can't be with her anymore. It's too difficult, and too emotionally damaging.

The only time I've ever been this scared of a breakup talk was with my ex-husband. OK, maybe I wasn't QUITE as scared as with him, but it is the only break up talk that has even remotely approached it.

Intimacy arises from shared experiences. We haven't been close in a long time, but confiding would simply lead to more closeness.

I do have a lot of good friends who are taking care of me locally and from far away. I am incredibly lucky. I feel like I don't deserve it sometimes -- I'm terrible at being a long distance friend. But I can try harder, I guess.
