PolyCamp Update

PROMOTION
The PolyCamp has been promoted all over Ontario, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. It still needs to be promoted in the kink and pagan communities in Toronto, and in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Update NY, as well as possibly Western Quebec.

HITS
The reg page has been visited by over 120 people.

REGISTRATIONS
We currently have registrations accounting for six adults and one pre-teen, plus the residents of the lands on which we will be camping (2 people). Given the number of people visiting the webpage, I expect that people are just slow to complete the registration process for whatever reason. I plan to consult local conference/camp organizers to get a sense of how long it usually takes for them to get registrations.

PROGRAMMING
I've been brainstorming on potential presenters, and plan to begin approaching people in the next few weeks. Suggestions/volunteers are welcome.

Missed you at the poly social, but glad to see you're still on top of things. I'm volunteering to hold a workshop, but you'll have to get back to me in a bit as to what exactly it'll be about. :P

Just as a side note, what is up with the whole one or the other option with regards to camping gear and carpooling? I mean, I can understand the questions themselves, but I think we're missing an answer or two.

ie

Camping gear: I have a) spare camping gear, b) no camping gear. What if you have just enough for yourself but not enough to supply others?

Carpool: I can offer rides / I need a ride. What if your car is already full?

I mean, that's really the only reason I haven't filled out the registration yet. That and I need a few days to think on my workshop topic. :) Just my two cents.

I imagine that pre-registration for many events are low early on and pick up dramatically in a parabolic curve as the event nears.

Also keep in mind it's a long weekend and perhaps people want to see if something better comes along.
