They are testing the fire alarms in the building.

They have been testing them for nearly an hour.

Someone needs to die.

There've been signs up for a few days saying they'll be testing them today (and possibly another day as well, though I'm not positive on that) from 9-6 ...

Try to resist the urge to use maltovs on them.

While it does provide a slow and painful demise for a very economical weapon, it may not successfully end the fire alarms

yeah i don't think that would be a great idea but ear plugs might work.

And why maltovs? hairspray is cheaper than alcohol and just as fun.

Hairspray can get you some nice burns, but many clothes in this day and age don't burn well unless you provide some accelerant. For a good long burn, I gotta go with maltovs. (Unless you've the time and guts to shave soap into gasoline on a stovetop)

True oh wise [livejournal.com profile] yaksman. However there is no such thing as a Knife alarm to my knowledge.

Nor is there a sword alarm. Gunshots tend to get people's attention, but a good hack 'n slash makes only as much noise as human vocal cords can manage before you sever them.

In the intrests of a more thorough test you could always start a real fire.

the expression "die in a fire" seems amusingly ironic or something in this context :)
