I might ask why
I live so much of life
in the light when
I exist only in dark
of reasoned flight
With sound and sight
I drown, overwhelmed
as senses numb my self
Filled with visions
of false places
and other times
Still with darkness
comes the flittering
settling only
when it settles deeply
Entrenching itself against
Soma's Reign.
Hermes or Gordon
Or the crescent-shaped C
I'd call thee forth
to calm my raging sea
But first I must gain
Entrance from the gatekeeper's key
Only then shall my flights
of fancy land, my turbulent
sea calm,
Replaced by placid pastoral peace.
Only then can I walk away from the light
and find tranquil moments, the sword
of reason in my hand
at the summons of my will
and in the pure darkness of my mind.
I might ask why
I live so much of life
in the light when
I exist only in dark
of reasoned flight
With sound and sight
I drown, overwhelmed
as senses numb my self
Filled with visions
of false places
and other times
Still with darkness
comes the flittering
settling only
when it settles deeply
Entrenching itself against
Soma's Reign.

Or the crescent-shaped C
I'd call thee forth

But first I must gain
Entrance from the gatekeeper's key

sea calm,
Replaced by placid pastoral peace.
Only then can I walk away from the light
and find tranquil moments, the sword
of reason in my hand
at the summons of my will
and in the pure darkness of my mind.
