Friday I got "stuff" done... reviewed some of the J-school curriculums for the schools I could go to, went grocery shopping, and cooked myself a healthy dinner.

Saturday, I conducted an interview using voip, and then disappeared off to Arcadia to prepare for a very special unbirthday party.

I baked from scratch two birthday cakes -- one for [livejournal.com profile] tocityguy, whose actual birthday is tomorrow, and one for [livejournal.com profile] yaksman, whose birthday is today. Despite some egg white mishaps, the cakes turned out quite acceptably. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. The sweet and sour sauce that Tocityguy made under my instruction, and the bacon wrapped dates Rbowspryte made, turned out wonderfully as well. Everyone seemed to have fun, and this morning, Rbowspryte and Metalana cooked up a delicious storm for breakfast... and Rbowspryte and possibly others made a delicious dinner.

I did another interview this afternoon as well.

I have everything I need to write the article for XTRA -- and some basic background info for a second article that needs to be written. But I'm exhausted. I slept like crap last night -- people were up late talking, and then got up early and started talking and fucking. I hate being a light sleeper. I tried to take a nap later in the day, but one of the guests who was still over has a very penetrating voice and I was unable to gain unconsciousness. I feel like crap, like I might be coming down with that cold everyone's had. And I can't think straight -- hard to write an article like that.

I've resolved to call in sick tomorrow. I'll either take it as a sick day, or work Friday instead of Monday, since I have no need to be at home Friday. I'll finish the article and get some much needed recovery time from the stress I've been under.

I hope.

I'm still unusually irritable and bitchy.

Considering you're depressed lately, you really are getting a hell of a lot done. Good for you!
