Toronto it is
Oct. 2nd, 2006 01:25 pmI'm not going to Wisconsin.
I suppose I should email them and see what can be done about getting feedback.
Happy birthday to me... (yeah, it's not until Thursday, but still)

Date: 2006-10-02 05:52 pm (UTC)I'm sorry, hon. I know you really liked the position there, and I'm sure that you would have done a great job.

Date: 2006-10-02 06:07 pm (UTC)By all means, try to get feedback, because that is always helpful. Though it wouldn't surprise me if it's of the order of "well, we really liked you, but this other person could walk on water...without freezing it first." Oh, and speaking of interview feedback, I'll email you something that might put things in a little better perspective. ;-)
Birthdays can be difficult; I have a very dear friend who often has bad things happen on or near her birthday; I know because I've been partly responsible for a couple of them. :-(
Hugs and warm thoughts.

Date: 2006-10-02 06:36 pm (UTC)I would ask for feedback and let it be their choice if they give it to you or not.

Date: 2006-10-02 11:17 pm (UTC)Just remember that job searching is a combination of luck, skill, and fate. You can do everything right and still not get the job. (Oddly enough you can almost everything wrong and get the job too - I've seen it happen).
Either way don't let the fact that this one didn't happen impede your continued job search. You will get hired.

Date: 2006-10-03 03:46 am (UTC)Alas... :( :(
I hope you'll still come back to visit sometime. I enjoyed meeting you (really, even though that phrase sounds so cheap).
*squishes* Don't beat yourself up too much. There will be other positions, better positions, and they'll want and hire you. :D
