Apartments available
Aug. 10th, 2006 10:42 amStarting Sept. 1, my one bedroom basement is available. It's literally right at Dufferin Subway, and costs only $700 inclusive. There is an ensuite washer/dryer that you would share with the people living upstairs. If you or someone you know would be interested, please have them contact me.

Date: 2006-08-10 04:15 pm (UTC)You can see floorplans here:

The enclosed balconies are heated and often used as a third bedroom. After a year, you can apply from within to upgrade to a three bedroom, and when they DO come available, residents get priority.

Date: 2006-08-10 05:02 pm (UTC)We're paying too much right now (since our income has seen a precipitous decline), so I am nosing around. This, while much closer to my work, would unfortunately work out to about the same but with less room... But thanks for sharing all the details! :) I guess I should have known a core downtown location cannot possibly be cheaper than our beaches apt.

Date: 2006-08-10 05:08 pm (UTC)There's this, which is not coops, but just managed by the city of toronto; they are notoriously incompetent and unresponsive, though, even when we were calling them and leaving messages and emails asking to see an apartment:
torontohousing.ca
And this, which IS coop housing... and if you look outside of the downtown core, some of these will be much cheaper than Hazelburn:

Good luck!
