Yay, I'm offensive!

On April 4th, I posted a variation on my usual housing ad on Craigslist, which you can see here. Yes, btw, I am still interested in talking to people about living together, so if you know anyone who is looking in TO, please check it out.

On April 9th, some loser posted this, which said:
is anyone else disgusted by this? as a guy who recently advertised my apt on craigslist (and found a roommate w00t!) i'm truly offended.

Dumbass apparently doesn't Get It. Craigslist is all about anarchy. He phrases his post as though because he's used CL before, his opinion matters. Yet, he didn't pay anything for the service, so why would they give a fuck?

Yay for free speech. Anarchy!

I need to take that phrase and stick it in my register for easy & quick access. Usually I get all bound up in the moment of "ack, they're in a bad mood! ack! Can't talk about this now! ack!" to the point that it builds up tension, and when I do finally break the subject I'm usually a little aggressive and defensive about it at the same time.

And yeah, he seems not quite to grasp what craigslist is.

I'm utterly failing to see what he might be offended by. I guess he's just so body-shamed that anyone being naked or enjoying sex offends him. Poor creature.

The way I see it, when you're looking for housing, you should make your ad as offensive as possible (while, of course, still telling the truth about yourself). This screens out the easily offended people.

Incidentally, I kind of want to steal your ad, or at least use it as inspiration, because I'm also looking for housemates and am too lazy to write my own.
