Back report

Day two of wearing the new bra and sitting in a better chair. My back still hurts, enough that I've taken painkillers every day. Not only am I wearing a full support, expensive properly fitted European bra and sitting in a chair that is not broken, but I'm also making a conscious effort to sit properly and stretch regularly. When I do stretch, there are definite cracking sounds.

Still, my back is happiest when I'm standing. I wonder what that means?

Given that I seem happiest when standing, I'm once again fantasizing about the walking desk:

A new, basic, bottom of the line treadmill from Canadian Tire is about $450. I wonder how hard it would be to add a table tray thingy to that? Or, for that matter, to find myself a used treadmill of similar proportions (the Canadian Tire one, the Weslo Cadence C32, is 15" x 45").

Hammacher Schlemmer makes a similar product, but I'm not convinced you can actually work while using the treadmill; it's unclear based on the description. But, if you want an out of box exercise and office solution that looks classy, you need only order one for $4400 USD plus shipping! What a deal!

Got back on the horse today with regards to those press releases, but hard to focus when your back hurts this much. I'm going to do some dumb data entry work for the day job, and then come back to it.

A friend of mine had back problems for a while - he was working in a cube farm at that point so what they did was put his desk up so that he could work while standing at it - then got him a drafter's chair which could get to the right height for him to be able to sit at his desk as well. Helped a -lot- for him.
