Update: Bored at work
Dec. 16th, 2005 01:19 pmI have work to do. I should be working. But I'm not. I've been very anti-work this week; blame it on the combination of stressful events in my life and impending holidays. Today we were GOING to work from home, but it didn't snow after all, so we had to come into the office. Bah!
jobby stuffy
Still no word from Math Camp, Promotive, and the bitch lawyer apartment. I emailed my friend at Math Camp saying politely but hopefully "It's been 6 days since you said you'd hopefully get back to me in a few days; any new info?" I expect that the delay is that they've made an offer to someone and are waiting for a response. And, I imagine Promotive is taking so long because they didn't like any of their applicants. So, I'm expecting rejections from both. I did, however, get my first two checks from the Star yesterday. Yay money!
stupid quiz stuff
I made a few changes to the quiz based on calibrations, mostly aimed at giving lower scores to people who aren't poly, or answer choices for them. I doubt these things will affect most of your scores very much, but if you're REALLY bored, feel free to retake the test.
housing stuff/plans for the weekend
Tonight is gaming at Casa Van Hiel, and then tomorrow I believe that we are meeting
omshu to see if we all get along. What I'm expecting is that he will jet at 2:45, and we will chat about the interview and possibly look at some apartments (but probably not). Then I BELIEVE I have a party to go to that starts shortly before 5 p.m. I'm not sure though. I have to check with the host to make sure I'm invited. meep.
Sunday, possibly more housing searching, and Monday, the social unless I have to skip out on all or part of it for house search, and Tuesday, possibly MORE house search, and then Wednesday, off to Boston via Palenville. Weee!
I'm very excited about the trip to Boston, although it appears that there are no nifty parties while I'm visiting. :( I am also, however, very anxious about getting work and housing done. Of course, the anxiety is the REAL stumbling block. Stupid head!
