A friend of mine *wink* is having a baby, and so I'd like to make a hat as baby gift for the baby and her toddler (who will be a little over 3-years-old when the baby is born).

Here's some free patterns I've found so far. Now I just need to pick which one for the baby, and which one for the toddler!

I'm thinking the dinosaur (but we'll tell her it's a dragon) for the toddler, and perhaps the ladybug for the baby. Or maybe not.

Thoughts? Especially from those who know the toddler. ;)

Sorry. As a gag gift, it's hilarious - but I'd never let her wear it out of the house. :)

I love the booboo hat, and the ladybug hat, and the frogpond hat, and the dinosaur hat. I think Elizabeth would love all of them too.

Sizewise: Elizabeth will actually be three and a half by the time she and the baby are wearing knitted hats together, because the baby is due in the spring. So for the baby, you're looking size six to twelve months (about fifteen inches diameter) and for Elizabeth, a size 3x or 4.

I can't wait to see what you decide on. :) I love baby gifts!
