It's been a weekend. First, there was the wedding. It ran late. Most of the things which were my problem went quite smoothly, but late. Food was tasty. Socializing was surprisingly good (in spite of the family/potentially mundane nature of the event). The bride and groom were BOTH radiant, and there were men in kilts. What more could you want at an event?

Saturday I slept in REAL late, then eventually headed to TO. There I walked from Union past Queen and Bathurst, and then back to Queen and Spadina, wandering in and out of stores. Eventually, [livejournal.com profile] neeuqdrazil and I met up for our date at a tasty Indian restaurant called Babur on Queen.

After dinner, I introduced her to Starbuck's Chantico, and then we went to see Episode III. While there were definitely things to complain about, I feel like I could count them on my two hands. Anyway, it was nice to come away pleasantly surprised.

We cabbed it back to her place and, um, snuggled for a while (and sadly, not much more than what that statement says explicitly), then went to sleep in separate beds.

Today, Liz got to pop TWO of my cherries! We started the day by going to the Occult Shop on Vaughan Road. When I went to school at Interact with [livejournal.com profile] lastmx, I'd pass it on the bus quite frequently, and always meant to go in. Maybe if I had, I wouldn't have married Daniel, and maybe I would have become pagan much sooner. But, I didn't.

Next, we went to Knit-O-Matic, my first ever yarn shopping experience. Pop! I bought three fashion yarns which were half price on sale, a set of 8 mm circular needles, and several other useful doodads. There is more knitting in my future.

After that we hopped a bus and stopped at CAYA, where we got to see [livejournal.com profile] outcastspice in her professional capacity. It was a fruitful trip -- I picked up a book with a whole bunch of Bondage Fairy comics all in one! woohoo!

We grabbed a super-late lunch at Syriandipity, two doors from Bakka Phoenix, the local SF bookstore. My goodness: $3 felafel to die for. Yum!

So, that was my weekend. Tomorrow, another dull work week. wahoo? Or something.
