Speed shopping is the new Tai Bo!
Apr. 26th, 2005 02:36 pmForget the gym. I have a new way to work out and burn off those calories:
Speed shopping
This lunch hour, I walked to Woodbine with
pyat. We entered through the Bay, went to the food court, I did zellers while he ate, then Sears, (thusly having covered the entire top floor), then the bottom floor and out where we entered the Bay, and back to the office. In an hour.
The trick is to enter a store, skim it for the items you like, and leave when you don't find EXACTLY what you want. Assuming that something is too small because you're a plus size is also a good strategy to up the ratio of time spent moving to time spent standing still. Also, shopping for something really unusual; if you're looking for jeans speed shopping won't be so speedy.
If you couldn't tell, I'm joking.
Tonight
velvetpage,
sassy_fae and I will be going ZOOM off to shoppingy goodness. If we don't find anything, we may elect to go to Buffalo to check out David's Bridal. They have pretties, including a shirt made out of MY fabric -- the really nice purple and gold brocade my new corset is made out of. *drool*
Shiny pretties! *bounce*
Depending on how shopping works out, I may not be able to make it to TOKink. :-/
There are worse things; I care more at the moment about getting laid than getting beaten, so no huge loss.
