Gah. I feel fat. Correction. I AM fat. I weighed over 200 lbs today on the scale, albeit after dinner with all my clothes on. At a height of 5'2", that's just plain FAT.

I need to diet, but there's tons of chocolate in the house. Maybe I should ask my parents to keep it in their room.

I need to work out, but I don't have a club membership here, and I'm still coughing something awful, which makes me apprehensive about working out.

Do you work out when you are still coughing and occasionally wheezing? Maybe with a puff of the ol' albuterol/ventolin beforehand?

I feel self-conscious about going out and meeting all the new people here looking like I do. None of my casual clothing (except the fabulous fuzzy red booty pants) fit right or well. I know this is a self-destructive attitude, but, well... yeah.

Anyway, I think I kept on telling myself that I was going to start dieting more seriously when I got here, since it is easier to keep to the diet living with your family than on your own eating out often. So I guess I'll attempt to start that tomorrow and see what happens. Maybe I'll start posting weigh-ins in order to force myself to be honest.

I find that as long as I am not sitting and eating a half pound of it at a time, and believe you me I can, having chocolate around is ok. It is the bread, pastas that keep me plump.

Try pilates on DVD if you can find it. I got my $5 one and I love it! lifted my stomach!! Also if you feel flu type symptoms and are achy, don't exercise. Otherwise just take it easy on the exercise. And remember, shoveling snow counts.

I don't usually "work out". As you know I'm more of a sports kinda girl. And unless i'm *sick* I usually try to play. I do my pilates video time and time again (I need to get back on it) and I will do that if I'm really coughy and stuff.

you can do it! you have the tools ;)

Unless I am bed-ridden, I will try to go on walks, but if I don't feel tip top, I won't go to a gym or push myself too hard.

I've never been too good at dieting per-se. I'll watch my fat intake if I'm really trying to lose weight quickly.
