A number of people I know are going through periods of antisocial behavior, or have gone through similar periods before. This song, and the friend's rebuttal, is taken from Napoleon, the Musical. The first is Josephine expressing herself after Napoleon set her aside for an Austrian princess. The second is her best friend doing a sort of intervention (if only it were that easy).
