spilled boiling water on my finger on the right hand. hurts really badly.

icing it. taking painkillers. I do NOT want to go to the emergency room.

Do NOT use ice!

I am not kidding. Ice will freeze the upper skin levels but leave the rest cooking underneath. Cool to cold water, yes. Running water, so it leaches the heat away.

you don't want to use ice....that's bad for burns....you want cool water instead.
