It's really tragic.

See, I someday want a really pretty head board/bedframe.

And I want it to have tie points.

And I like to sit in bed, which means that a metal bed frame may not offer the support I desire.

I think there are some really expensive headboards made of carved wood that would give me a solid surface to lean against, tie points, and prettiness.

*pout* Don't want it to be that hard! Wah!

My bed has eyebolts and a wooden frame. Perhaps you ought to try it and see if it is something you'd like. I can find out where the original owner purchased it... but he had to add the eyebolts himself.

A friend of ours got an antique solid wood bed frame off of Craigslist for way cheap and then just discreetly attached the hardware that she needed/wanted.

Bedframes

I have a new bedframe, also found on Craigs List but from someone who sells new furniture for a good price (I can find the name if you want). I like the *shape* of sleigh beds, but I didn't want the solid headboard-- sleigh beds are great for reading, lousy for bondage. Also, I wanted a low footboard or no footboard. I ended up buying something that has the curve of a sleigh bed, with a slatted headboard and lower slatted footboards (slats are further apart than my wrist is wide). Pleasant. Recent discovery: footboards may be slightly annoying for oral sex with a woman, but they provide nice back support for chatting in bed.

I'm thinking, though, that this particular thread may net you *lots* of offers to visit different people's bedrooms.

(um, yeah, I know, "not kinky" and "bondage-friendly bed" may not compute, but I reserve the right to be inconsistent)

What's a tie point?

I'd assume she just means that it'll be something like wrought iron, with either actual eyes, or just small enough loops to function as eyes, for tying ropes or hanging chains on.

I personally have a metal frame that has good attachment points, and for sitting up in bed I have a couple of body pillows stacked against the headboard. It works quite well.

*blushes* Tie points. Got it. Not quite that vanilla, but thought maybe it was a bed frame lingo thing.

Then again maybe I am that vanilla because my first reaction to *YOUR* comment was to wonder about the athstetics of haning chains from beds. Fortunately my brain kicked in at that point.

what fabulous is they will integrate any elements from one design into the other. A friend of mine has the bed, she has the metel rings AND the cross bars over the top... I hung upside down and did up side down situps and pushup on it... so it doubles as an excercise device.... and it didn't shake at all. Not only that but I have got to think that in an earthquake it'll keep the ceiling form colapsing on your bed (so its safer than a regular bed) .... AND with a bedskirt and a canopy it looks like a sweet little 4 poster.
