Dear friends,

The weekend of July 9-11 I will be having a weekend retreat at Annwfn in order to have a naming, initiation, and handfasting to myself. I have decided to make the whole weekend open to you all, although portions of the ritual may require my own solitude, or the attendance of only a few people.

That doesn't mean that you aren't welcome to plan your own ritual-y stuff that weekend if you come along. It just means that I'm not involved in organizing anything but my own. :)

Sunday will mark eight years for me as Emmett. I decided on the name on the way to Baycon. In a way, the whole story I told you was my own naming ritual.

And I have every intention of being there as witness for your name-choosing! I can't promise that Life won't Happen to get in the way, but it's made it onto my calendar.

Now that was interesting. For a moment there, the whole poll section of this post on my friends page was in Hebrew. Either that or I got a "special" Odwalla Superfood down in the cafeteria.

chances are I will only be able to be there for part of the weekend, as my sister is coming on the 7th and may not be leaving until the 10th. But I will come for as much as I can.

Me, too. But this time, the poll didn't seem to have any questions when I looked at it. Anyhow, I'm free that weekend and it sounds like something I'd like to go to.
