slow going

Starting work on a new writing project is always slow going. I feel like I'm pulling teeth.

I know that eventually these chapters will start coming quick and fast, once I realize that they're easy and not scary and that I can do them. But for now my mind is doing everything in its power to avoid working intently. :(

I have to have chapters 24-48 done by May 1st. I had hoped to finish all of those this spring break, and it is still early in a 17 day break. But I'm beginning to feel skeptical of the likelihood of that happening. I just wish my mind would cooperate more -- I've only got 1.5 chapters done, at this point. I'm sure that if I could just focus, I could be going through them at a rate of 2-4 a day, but right now I'll be lucky to hit 2.

Reminder to self: If I only do two per day for the rest of the spring break, I will finish BEFORE the end of the break. Of course, I'll have to transcribe any work I do at Annwfn to the laptop, but I can still work there. But wouldn't it be nice to get it all done before I head there? To do that I need to do about 3 per weekday and 1 per weekend day. So relax, Questioner! This is doable! Really!
