Does anyone know someone in the editorial or online publishing section of MacWorld? They're hiring a Staff Reporter, and I actually match the qualifications with a minimum amount of wiggling.

Jim Dalrymple is the editor to whom resumes will be sent; I would mostly be working on stories for the website at MacCentral.

Current? No, but I'm pretty sure that Keith used
to work at MacWorld... I'll ask him to contact you.

P.S.: Wouldn't that be the "pro" LJ? ;-D

Thanks so much! When he does, what "tribes" is he from? Just generic geek, or?? Have I met him?

Nah, not for the pro journal. In the pro journal I try my best to look professional, not desperate for a job. Also, networking is most effective when announced where there are people who will hear the announcement; not so many people added my pro journal. And finally, connections through various tribes are highly UNprofessional even though they may help me professionally. Like that textbook gig I got through the sfbaypoly list.

Keith is less geeky and more "tribal" than you might think.

Dunno if he's going to email you. He's kind of busy and hard to get a hold
of lately.

P.S.: No, you two haven't met. He's barely met any of my friends, (yet)
except for the ones he knew before (most notably [livejournal.com profile] joedecker).
