I voted. And I don't even feel particularly dirty for the choices I ended up making. w00t!

oh, and while all of my friends rock the kazbah, [livejournal.com profile] lariel in particular is rocking my world today. She held my hand through some angst and made me feel not only better, but more sane. Thank you.

I couldn't believe it, he got her to not vote on a candidate for governor, he read her the ballot (she's basically blind) and just SKIPPED THAT PART!!!!!!!!!! Did he just not want to read her all 135 names?!!
I am spawn of SATAN. God damnit!!
She voted no on the recall, and perhaps she thought that you has to vote yes ont he recall in order to be able to choose a candidate for gov.
UGH.
Well, I figured out the ballot at least.....I wonder how many college students voted FOR arnold and AGAINST any increased funding for themselves? Stupid idol worshippers. I am disgusted with all of them.

Ignorance sucks.

I was in the SprintPCS store yesterday evening, b/c my cell-phone is currently dead and I wanted to see if they could fix it, and a couple of employees there, who were probably about 20-25, were going on about how they'd voted for Arnold and how obviously CA keeping Gray Davis in the last election had been a bad idea, etc...

Morons. I almost wanted to run over to Kinko's, print out a copy of Wolak's authoritative paper on the CA Power Crisis (summarized here), and bring it back for them. Then maybe assign some further reading, such as the Sacto Bee article covering Davis's interaction with the legislature in regard to the revision of the state employees' pension system. (He tried to at least trim it somewhat, but the last time a governor outright vetoed such a measure, he was overridden by a supermajority of the legislature, and then crushed in the next election b/c the unions withheld support. Which governor might that have been, I hear you ask? It was Jerry Brown; not exactly a conservative union-buster, if you ask me.)
