Really good things and a little downer
Jul. 29th, 2003 09:48 amThe bad:
The alarm didn't go off but I only woke up 15 minutes late. Took an extra ten minutes getting out of the house, and then took the train in the wrong direction one stop, thus missing TWO trains.
The good:
I sent the bulk of my freelance work on to the textbook company guy, and he responded that they look great! I was worried... I suspect he doesn't know enough about physics to see any mistakes, which means that its all about my own work ethic. Which I like. It will motivate me MORE to be held to mine than to his.
He's mailing the other three chapters today; they finally came in. Which means I have to do 7 more chapters and proofread them all, and then send them off. And then theoretically, I get $$$.
I'm going to email him and see if it would be cool to have that stuff for him Monday; it would make my life so much better and low stress. Sure, the original deadline he mentioned was August 1, but I'm not going to be getting the last 3 chapters until tomorrow, probably, which is July 30th, which gives me one day to get it done. It seems reasonable to ask for an extension under those circumstances.
