Oh yeah, dvd trouble!

danaerisSo I tried to hook my Laptop's dvd player to the tv via the vcr the other day and I just got audio, no video, in spite of much futzing around to try to get it work.
The problem could be with my laptop, with the connector, or somewhere in the vcr/tv setup. I HAVE successfully hooked it up directly to tvs with the right input thingies before.

outcastspice is having the same problem with her recently purchased dvd player hooked up to an old tv via a vcr (like I'm trying to do).
I'm watching my new bubbly column thingie as it changes colours; I'm hoping that meditating over it will help inspire me in my work. Worst case, I'll trance out a little. I have a nifty raver toy! *bounce* And it was only $20!
