A favour from my pagan readers:
Nov. 30th, 2008 05:05 pmI just posted this on the pagan community but I could use input from anyone, really, who is pagan. And feel free to forward with my contact info to any pagans or pagan lists, but my deadline for responses would be late Monday night.
I'm putting together an article about being young and pagan (we're defining young as under 35). Since it's a piece of online journalism, I'm trying to use a lot of different segments to give readers lots of options to explore.
So, I'd like to invite you guys to offer personal anecdotes or quotes on any of the following topics in comments, via email (my username at livejournal.com), or even in an audioclip; if I like it I'll include it in the article.
- For you personally, what defines paganism?
- Is there an interesting story about how you became pagan? If so, please tell me all about it!
- Why are you pagan? What attracted you to paganism, or why do you continue to choose being pagan?
- Do you have any interesting stories about people's reactions to finding out that you're pagan?
- Have you ever been stigmatized or harassed for being pagan? Tell me about it.
- If there is a common reason why you find people will scoff at paganism as a religion, please tell me what that is, and why it isn't a valid complaint.
I'm also looking for pagan art.
- musical recordings (you must have the rights to the recording, and be willing to let me use it, credited to you of course)
- drawings, paintings, etc.
- audio recordings of storytelling (a la bardic)
- photographs along pagan themes
Thanks in advance!
