Social's location somewhat different

The folks at the Imperial Pub Library may be moving us downstairs, into the back room, permanently. However, tonight the Toronto Pagan Pub Moot will be in that room, so please check both upstairs and downstairs for us, or keep an eye out for a sign indicating where we are located. If we are upstairs, please be on your best behaviour!

Why are they moving us downstairs?
Their reasons are somewhat disappointing, but not unexpected: They feel that the degree of PDAs we engage in (snuggling and kissing) (and no, we haven't been that bad) will make their other patrons uncomfortable. They're happy, however, to reserve the back room for our use, with the exception of the 3rd Mondays of the month, when we would have to share with the Pagans from 7 p.m. onwards.

Although we get along with the pagans quite well, and many of us ARE pagans, this concerns me. I feel that we would be encroaching on their space, and sharing that room could lead to a blending of the two groups, ultimately destroying their individual cultures.

The back room has some issues, but they are clearly actively renovating it (half of the ceiling panels have been replaced, and some old defunct furniture has been removed, for instance). They have plans to put in more couches, and have told us that if there's anything we'd like changed about it, they'd do their best to accommodate us.

Are you coming tonight?

For a variety of reasons, rbowspryte and I may not be able to attend tonight... we're not sure yet.

We're hoping that someone who will be arriving at 6ish or earlier can take a leadership role and talk to the lady, Leigh, upstairs, and find out from her where she wants us. If at all possible, try to get her to let us either meet upstairs, or in the main room on the ground floor. If at all possible, try to avoid sharing the back room with the pagans. The Social's laminated sign is in a cupboard between the bar and the back wall in the ground floor's main room.

We're also hoping that someone who will be present after 7 p.m. would be willing to find out who is in charge of the Pagan Pub Moot, and get their contact info, and apologize to them, if we were placed in the same room as them. Finding out from the organizer as well as other PPM attendees how they feel about sharing the room would also be awesome.

Please volunteer... it would be extraordinarily helpful and meaningful.
