It's finally started. I have been assigned a brand module of 2500 words on Paper Shredders for Fellowes Canada.

Please kill me.

I'm in the process of applying to coach at several skating clubs. Please allow me my fantasy that I will get enough nibbles for business that I will be able to quit this job BEFORE the summer is over, rather than in the fall.

Meh!

Also, I would like to be awake so that I can actually get this damn newsletter written. But I keep on nodding off, and leaving several lines of 'ddddddd' on the page. oops.

Step 1: Remove as much clothing as possible. If you want to cover up, you can always try some option like a bikini or sarong.
Step 2: Encourage air circulation by opening windows, turning on fans, etc.
Step 3: Drink lots of non-caffeinated liquids, preferably water.
Step 4: Still too hot? Take a shower in tepid or if you can take it, cold water and wet down your hair. Re-wet it whenever you start to overheat again.
Step 5: Still too hot? A good last resort is to get a basin of cold water and rest your feet in it. Believe it or not, this can make a HUGE difference.
Step 6: Still too hot? Go to your nearest public place that has air conditioning, such as a mall or library. It may close at night, but it will help you get through the hottest hours.

I've done Step 4 today. I also moved Hexy into a lower room because hot air rises, and the top rooms at Arcadia are REALLY hot. And finally, I dumped all the dubious ice cubes with sketchy crud on them, cleaned out the ice bin, filled it with the remaining good ice cubes, and refilled all four of the ice cube trays.

And now, I will try to work in spite of temperatures.

The Partner of the Year awards recognize the expertise of industry partners in the embedded market ...

who, or that?

Who would be a person, that would be a thing. A company is thing, n'est-ce pas? But mayhaps I'm wrong.

In other news, the strike is over in time for the social. Yay! The Bloor-Danforth subway will be running beginning at 5 p.m., and buses are already getting started up slowly but surely. Unknown when the other subway lines will get going.

So, see y'all there. The spryte and I will be arriving around 6ish barring any bizarre delays.

We waited outside Islington station until 6 p.m. for the subway to start running before we gave up. Apparently, service recommenced half an hour later.

So, we're at Arcadia making tasty food and sweltering in the heat.
