Roller coaster day, but mostly in a good mood.

Yesterday's social was unusually good. New or not very regular people who were fun. However, I think we've hit the "last straw" with the current venue, and need to move somewhere else. People are stepping up the search for a new, better venue.

I was into work a little late because I couldn't get out of bed in the morning as quickly as I usually do.

Then at the newstand, buying soda, and turned to walk away and slammed my knee into a little outjutting rack so hard that I have a bump on my knee. Still hurts to walk too much because of the skin and pants stretching over it.

However, I got assigned the review of a module that has stuff I'm expert on (batteries!). It's amazing how much fun work becomes when you are INTERESTED in the subject matter. I've been reading about the history of the battery and Mr. Volta, among others of his contemporaries, but now I'm into the more boring section.

In other news: I hate my supervisor. Or, I hate being edited and supervised by her.

I'm slowly catching up on Stuff this week, as I fell super-behind over the last week and even month. Please bear with me, and feel free to nudge me in the comments if I owe you an email, info, or time in person.

What I'd like to know is, if you link to someone and say you want to do them, or that you are disgusted by them, or whatever, can others see that you said that?

Because sometimes you just feel it (yes, this is a work of fiction) )

Moody today. I think I forgot to take my meds yesterday, and that's why I was so fucking dizzy. Which would explain the odd moods today, alternating from bouncy to irritable to downright melancholy. What, you couldn't tell?

I feel like I do when I write copious amounts of poetry. Speaking of which... [livejournal.com profile] marius23, [livejournal.com profile] harlequinaide, you guys asked AGES ago if I want my poetry critiqued. The answer is: definitely not. I have perfectionist issues. Poetry is the one area I have deliberately NOT developed as a skill so as to keep it as a medium for pure self-expression and creativity; even so I have issues with the imperfection of it.

Of course, this entry isn't REALLY poetry. It's short form prose, half way between fiction and poetry, but qualifying as neither. So, do as you will.
