Sleep? What's that?
Jul. 20th, 2005 10:27 amLast night, I could have used someone to gently take the book away from me and cradle me to sleep.
But, as it happened, I read Harry Potter straight through. I sat down with it around 8 p.m. and finished at 5:30 a.m. Then I slept for three hours before getting up for work. At least this time the tiredness is MY fault. And lying in bed reading a book is not nearly as exhausting as sitting in an airport trying not to freak out and wondering if you're going to make it home that day.
Luckily, I have no thinking work to do today. Tonight I will likely crash very early.
If you wrote a post speculating about what happens next in Harry Potter that I might have missed, please comment so I can go back and take a look at it!
For those who were wondering, I enjoyed the book immensely. Not only are her characters maturing (as they should, since each book covers about a year), but so is her writing. I felt her writing style took great leaps in this book -- or else, she was revealing a different side to her writing.
I had strange dreams about cross-dressing Death Eaters and hiding from Draco Malfoy by climbing a tree and transfiguring myself into a large slice of bacon. Those of you who have read the book may find portions of that statement particularly amusing. ;)
