Wired is currently working on its yearly Tools section, which covers nifty products for the holiday season's gift-giving fun.

Apparently we give out finders fees for leads on nifty products if we actually end up using them -- $50 per lead.

If you're interested, you can email me at my last name at wiredmag.com, or at any of my other email addresses, and I'll fill you in on more details. But if you enjoy surfing the web and learning about interesting tech gadgets, this could be a great distraction from unemployment for you. A warning that finding appropriate ideas is not easy.

Oh, and this is supposedly easier for someone in another country, because of how release dates work.

Long have I lusted after the velour couches and armchairs at Customs House near my apartment. I'm told the factory outlet that supplies them is somewhere in East Bay and far more affordable, but alas I know not where it is.

Couchs at Customs House start around $1000 new for loveseats and go up to about $1500 for full sized couchs. Floor models are more around $700 for a full sized couch.

So please excuse me if I can't help but drool a little over this little beauty selling for only $300, or this beautiful thang, selling for $450, both on Craigslist.

I don't really want those, do I? Tell me I don't so I'm not as tempted as I honestly currently am. mmmmm....

I wish email were working. But at least I have my work address still right now.
