Apr. 15th, 2003 02:30 pmSent the freelance article in at 12:45 AM last night after some difficulty finding a wireless network to send through.
I got a response from the editor and the world has not come to an end!
She says the article is a great first draft, but I missed some key information this particular magazine's audience would want. Conveniently, I have tomorrow off to hassle people for that information, and my DSL should even be up and working at that point!
Phew. I think I'll be getting a little over $300 for this article. Not bad for a little over two days work (which is my estimate of how much work was involved).
I still have to figure out how I'm going to log this in unemployment. They wanted me to estimate how much I'd be paid AND how many hours I had worked and list the money as earned now. That's bullshit, especially since I'm not going to receive payment until late June at the EARLIEST. Reporting these earnings would lose me money now.
Still haven't done the tax extension thing. I have a tax extension form that I could mail, and I could always go online and spring for the $10 to get H&R Block to file for my extension.
That's all for now. Depression sucks. Money is good. Boy is good. Life should be good, but depression sucks.
