Something?

Palo Alto Weekly just called and offered me the spring internship.

It's part time (20 hours/week, 3 months).

It doesn't pay, but it probably would ultimately cover my travel expenses.

It isn't science journalism.

I'd have to find a part time job to cover my expenses when my unemployment benefits run out, and even then it wouldn't cover my expenses well.

But.

It's ONLY for three months, so I could probably do it with minimal use of my trust fund money.

They sound like they take really good care of their interns, which is exciting.

And it would look good on my resume.

Oh, and 1/3 of the way through the internship my living expenses will go down as I will be moving elsewhere (probably somewhere cheaper).

If Wired turns me down, I think I should do it. Any opinions or thoughts?

I'd do it, just for the experience and something to do. I don't remember the details of the Wired job, but wasn't it also an internship? Can you do both?

sure...

as an unpaid intern at a cool company, living off my savings and inheritances myself, I'm a bit biased :)

It sounds like an excellent way to get more experience and help the resume.
