This here durn unemployment benefits thing
Jan. 6th, 2003 11:48 amSo here's the deal.
-I get my first set of forms in the next 7-10 days
-I fill them out and send them in
-Jan 24 I get a check for the week of Jan 11-18 of $237
-after that I get two weeks per check
-I can earn up to $25/week without money being removed from that $237
-I can earn up to $182/week before the benefits disappear entirely
-I will get it for about 13-14 weeks---3 months
The problem is that if I get a crappy full time job at kinkos, I won't have time to job search for a better job, and I will be getting $9/hour to start, minus taxes, which comes to... not enough. I'm pretty sure it comes to not much more than unemployment benefits.
I'd like to look into receptionist jobs...
lost_lethe tells me that I could probably pretty trivially get myself a receptionist's job that would cover my bills fairly easily. I'm going to look into it. I would make a very competent executive assistant. And I still have to follow up on the Livermore job.
