Olberman often does really good opinion pieces, he's worth following!
I was stunned that California actually passed Proposition 8. Individually, there are many Americans that I like, and many things that I like about the States, but the fact that Prop 8 actually passed is just another reason why I won't move there.
Yeah, the whole prop 8 thing seems pretty unreal to me.
Unfortunately, I may have no choice when it comes to moving back to the states; Canadian funding for doctoral students is crapola. :(
I do feel comforted that Obama was elected. Even if he doesn't live up to the hype, I think he's a vast improvement over Bush from the point of view of social progressiveness.
